The Unit of hyperbaric oxygenotherapy was established and started in September 2000 as one of the departments of the Health Center, Dr. Švehlík .

MUDr. Ján Švehlík Sr. Graduate of the Medical Faculty of the P.J.Šafárik University in Košice. He acquired and defended his specialty by passing his attestation exams in 1st and 2nd grade anaestesiology and resuscitation and in biomedicine cybernetics at the Department of Anaestesiology and Resuscitation in Louis Pasteur Teaching Hospital in Košice. Here, he was also working as head doctor for many years.
